About a year ago we posted a picture of a Toast merchant using a Square register to handle payments. Why would anyone complicate an already-complicated ecosystem of POS and payments? Well, as we were told, when the merchant realized how much they were paying Toast for processing they decided it was materially cheaper to process with Square, which those of us in the industry know to be on the expensive side of processing options.
For the next facepalm picture we present a Heartland Restaurant POS customer using… (drumroll)… Clover devices for their payments.
That was GREAT for an early morning chuckle. What a weird-connected world we live in.
